Change The World

Just got in .... now off to change the world.

These are scattered around the city as part of an exhibition 'Subversive Spaces' and this one refers to the anti-corn league formed in 1883 by the poor to lower the price of corn that was kept artificially high by the landed gentry.

It worked and led to the iconic quote "As a people we have found we have some power. We have discovered we were not born with saddles on our backs, and that the country gentlemen were not born with spurs"

Mind you, nowadays the gentry would probably be an MP and claim for his spurs on expenses due to only wearing them at his second home...
