Porquerolles

We caught an early ferry to Porquerolles and after a coffee overlooking the Marina cycled around the  main sights of the island. The first beach we came to was beautiful, Plage d’Argent.  We should have bathed there but pressed on to Plage Noire de Langoustier. We got into our swimming togs ready for a dip and two French women came up to us and with much  sign language and talk of ‘ Meduse’ we inferred that there were jelly fish in the water and they had been stung quite badly.
We eventually found Plage de Notre Dame in the photo where we had a lovely dip and then cycled off to catch the ferry back to the mainland.
Had a lovely meal of fresh sea bream this evening which the waitress assured us was cod.
It was not cod!
Moving on tomorrow.
