BEACH PICNIC

B asked for a picnic at the seaside today, and he chose Redcar (he may have meant somewhere else, but that's what he said). Rain stopped play and we didn't stay long, but it was worth it for the nearly-empty café we found with this view of the incoming weather, and the exceptionally clean and well-tended public toilets in an unpromising-looking portakabin. These things are important!

(This is across the bay from Hartlepool. The Headland is the dark line on the left hand side of the horizon and the turbines are the same ones that we see, but they're much closer inshore at Redcar.)
