The Magic of Bubbles

We have been in charge today and it has been full on.  We were up to the park after breakfast with much sliding and swinging and spinning, then a short interval back at the house before out again for Euan to go to the dentist with his Daddy.  Tony and I had a cuppa in the café next door whilst we waited for Euan to emerge with stickers.

Then it was on to Waitrose for some shopping and a tearful goodbye to Daddy who had to return to work.  Those days of touring the supermarket with a crying youngster came back to me with some looks of sympathy and others suggesting we had kidnapped Euan.  We managed to cheer him up by allowing him to push the trolley and load the items on to the conveyor, then it was homeward bound again with a brief stop at the little park for a go on the pirate boat and some jumping off rocks.

Back at the house it was nap time and whilst Euan slept I prepared the evening meal. Once awake we did some measuring and pouring science then he built a sticker robot and played with the Scotland sticker book we brought from our holiday, before succumbing to 'the very hungry caterpillar' on the tv whilst I prepared dinner.

We were having a half hour hoopy scoopy game in the garden when Mummy arrived home after managing a very successful conference.
