Big Girl

We spotted this beauty on our walk this morning. Larger than our Red-shouldered Hawks, she's probably the same Broad-winged Hawk who bathes in our bog almost every morning, then sits above the pond on a winged-elm branch hanging over it. She perches there to dry off and also to be on the lookout for one of the many, plump and no doubt tasty, frogs and toads that call the bog home. Or perhaps her taste runs more to the Black Racer (serpent) I recently saw swimming through the bog, undoubtedly hunting for the same afore mentioned amphibians.
