First Puffling 2022

After a couple of days of very mediocre weather (fog then rain) it was a delight to wake up to calm, dry weather which became sunny a bit later.

The calm start required a visit up to Sumburgh Head to see what the auks were up to - lots off puffins and razorbills around - and my first glimpse at this years crop of pufflings. Hopefully more (and better) pictures in days to come.

My first Sumburgh puffling last year was on 1st July and was in the same burrow!

UPDATE: I've added an extra after an evening visit back to Sumburgh Head - when the puffling was being a bit more adventurous.
