Two-Tone Tulip

Awesome day weather-wise. On the walk home it was 23°C in the shade and it was cooking in the sun. It was noticeable that the people in my team were in a distinctly better mood today, the atmosphere at lunch was positively light (this may have a lot to do with how Bayern München played against Barcelona - although no-one would admit to being a Bayern fan, there was a lot of pride in how well the team played).

The Depp Saga continues. Having inspected the quality of the work, we were not happy. We expected a ladder that would extend when stood on and therefore would expedite a safe escape from a fire and would also be out of reach of any ne'er-do-wells.

We got a fixed ladder that ended about 6 feet from the ground.

We wrote to the Hausverwaltung saying "Oy, this is a piece of nonsense. Where's our extending and property protecting ladder?"

The Hausverwaltung wrote back saying "Yes, you wanted an extending ladder, but the Depps said they would build a fixed ladder and Ok, it is the wrong length but they will fix the length and make it extendible if you pay more money." Quite why no-one mentioned that the ladder would be fixed is a point I'm not quite clear on. Or to put it another way, I am quite grumpy.

However, we'll leave behind the sourness and bitterness and get on to the good bit. Yesterday's song was "My Girl" or "My Girl" and today you get this :-
