Liza and I spotted a couple of lines of ants on the sidewalk near home this morning. When we returned from our scoot, the toddlers were out with chalk and lots of enthusiasm. They each got a scooter ride, and then I showed them where the ants were. The insects held their attention for a while, then it was on to the next thing.

Mr. E was first on the scene. I think he looks like a budding Thoreau.
