Monkey Puzzle

My favourite tree. My friend, Mitch, has this young one in his garden. It looks like it is being held up by some fine thread, but it’s spider silk.

Maggie got up at a very reasonable 7.30 this morning, I’m happy to say. Since nursery is closed for the holidays we didn’t need to rush and we knew her Nanny and Papa were picking her up at 9.30am, so we had a leisurely breakfast and played in the garden for a while.
Once Maggie left Geordie and I went to Ruby Bay at Elie for our morning walk. There was blue sky and white clouds and ……wait for it….more wind! Apparently the temperature here could reach 18, or even 19 degrees here in a few days! Whoopee Doo! And they call this summer. It’s become such a topic of conversation here that almost everyone we meet comments on how chilly it is for the time of year.
