Caledonian specialists

Two easily overlooked tiny beauties which need the special habitat of coniferous forests and are very localised. Here Twinflower has formed a dense mat and is creeping up a pine trunk In the midst of this colony is a single spike of Creeping Lady's Tresses - a tiny orchid only around 15cms high.
