Seen in a Café

Mrs B drove me to Boscombe today in a loaned BMW i3.  Her is delayed again because of a shortage of components * but the dealer let us borrow one of their demo cars – the sporty version, 184hp in a small vehicle with instant on power . . .

Mrs B's grandparents used to live near the sea in Boscombe, and she was their guest frequently, put on a coach in Northampton at the age of 9 and met at the bus station in Bournemouth by her grandparents.  Such trust.

So it was an emotional return to the places where she was entertained by the old couple and on such a gorgeous day.  Boscome beach was delightful.

But before then we had lunch in Little Pickles café and this couple sat behind Mrs B.  Their tranquil contentment (it seemed) could be a lesson to us all.

In the Extra, an absolutely stunning mural . . .

* It seems that Mrs B's car has been built but lacks some microprocessor components so has not been delivered to the dealer.  Before the pandemic there were only four factories for these items, one burned down during the pandemic and two others are in Russia and Ukraine.  Apart from that all is well in global microprocessor fabrication . . .
