North Cumbria

I thought these grapes were doing rather well given their northern latitude in early July.
We have arrived at a cottage on the south shore of the Solway Firth, the estuary which forms the border between north west England and south west Scotland. We plan a quiet week with just the two of us and a little celebration in the middle of it.
The weather forecast looks fair and there are lots of nature reserves up here.
