Tongue

The length of a Small Skipper’s tongue is quite impressive, here nectaring on ragwort.

I popped down to the nature reserve over lunchtime. There was a big gaggle of Canada Geese on the river, and plenty of small fry in it (extra.  With butterflies just a few Small White, Comma, Speckled Wood, Ringlet and Small Skipper.
