“some moments are nice, some are nicer, some are even worth writing about.”
― Charles Bukowski,

I taught on line for half an hour this morning - first time for ages - talking to my student who is now in Edinburgh to begin her masters; and spent the rest of the day engaged in light domestic activities and knitting while Robin was involved in the heavier task of writing her MA dissertation. Such pastimes were interrupted early afternoon when we went to nearby 'colourful chairs' cafe for a snack. Today's pic was taken on the way home arriving in time for Wimbledon ladies final. A jolly good match, Elena Rybakina is certainly skilled at sending the ball to unexpected destinations,  but I had hoped that Ons Jabeur would pull it off - she clearly wanted it so very badly.

In other news: Dotty is proving to be a doting mum (see yesterday) in spite of her youth, and has not left her squealing, wriggly charges for more than a few minutes at a time.  Not that she's needed to as I've been a most attentive waitress and general factotum. The little ones are feeding well and already, after just two days, are noticeably bigger and stronger. Harry is tolerating them with the bored indifference of the long suffering who mutter 'this too shall pass' while keeping his distance with nose and tail held high.
