Mature Birch Tree

here is something special about silver birch trees. I suppose at least in part it's the white bark, in contrast to the more common dark trunks. And then there are the patterns on the bark - each one unique, a sort of fingerprint for each tree.
This is a mature example with a trunk approximately 40 cm in diameter, and very tall.  A tree with real presence!
