 .......... day today - so afterwards I walked across the Market Place for a photo of Long Sutton church.
It is said to have the oldest wooden spire in England ..... also, the highwayman, Dick Turpin is said to have lived in the village (under an alias) for around nine months and there is a road named after him here.

It's nicerer, biggerer!!

Fun Fact of the Day:

In the UK, shoe sizes used to be measured in barleycorns.
It originated in the 14th century and, based on the length of a grain of barley, each shoe size adds a third of an inch - there are three barleycorns in an inch

(Shoe sizes in the UK are different to shoe sizes in the US - maybe US barley is a different size - lol)
