6:32 AM here. Overcast sky and intermittent internet connection so will seize this chance to work on that "to do list" without the distraction of social media.

Featured photo is just another close up of our dragon fruit plant/tree in our backyard. Intentionally left the watermark as proof that it was shot at exactly 5:55 AM.

Researched on recovery from muscle pain yesterday from WebMD. Not sure if I wrote it in a past journal entry but made the mistake of lifting one of my nephews the other day so naturally suffered from delayed onset muscle _______. Grateful to still be moving after 400+ days on Strava. Grateful for family, nature, music, work, and this community.

Was able to read a few pages from both Meditations for Women Who Do Too Much (by Anne Wilson Schaef) and Meditations for Parents Who Do Too Much (by Jonathon and Wendy Lazear) earlier.

*From July 12 of Meditation for Women:
"When I say no to a request for my time, I am not going away from that person, I am going to myself."

*From Meditations for Parents (July 20):
Loving is not just looking at each other, it's looking in the same direction.
-Antoine de St.Exupery

"Harmony of philosophy, of goal, of means to an end, bespeaks love that is directed from the heart and the head."

*From an old letter from Pides:
"We long for a love in which we are never reduced or misunderstood. We have a morbid resistance to classification by others, to others placing labels on us (the man, the woman, the rich one, the poor one, the Jew, the Catholic...To ourselves we are after all always un-labellable. When alone, we are always simply 'me' and shift between sides of ourselves effortlessly and without constraints imposed by the preconceptions of others." - Essays on Love (*will google who wrote it*)
