Silage 3

Rather poor photo, but was a bit late and rushed. The third grass silage cut of the year is underway. I simply don't understand it. Perhaps they have to do it in order to get rid of the slurry. Each cut is followed by a good covering of slurry. But the amount of energy cost in cutting, turning, raking together, collecting up and then rolling is enormous for such small amounts of grass.
