Life in a Northern Town

By kagsy

A million calories

We drove Across to Grandpa Green’s ice cream parlour in Diggle, where, just as we arrived, a shower of warm, enormous raindrops started so we decamped inside to eat our body weight in ice cream.
We got talking to a chap on the canal who told us the canal will probably be closed in a week due to a lack of water. On our way home we stopped off at Dowry reservoir to pick up a couple of geocaches - that was desperately low ( see extras), so it seems amongst our many other worries we have a water shortage too.

I am currently saving water by sitting in the garden and drinking white wine.
