Life through my eyes

Marbled white

Not the best photo as he was 1.25m away, but the first time I have ever seen a marbled white.  It was closer and I was just taking a photo when an out of control dog, owner screaming at him, disturbed him.  So disappointed as his wings were fully open.

Not quite sure where today went, a lovely walk this morning while Dave the Book was here, catheter and other mishaps in the night, mediation and coffee with a neighbour this afternoon.  She moved here in February and when I was chatting to her yesterday she offered to sit with Mr T to give me a break, and wasn't worried about personal care as she used to be a special needs teacher.  She also wants a summer house, and was glad to see inside, she also has the stairway wall we used to have and was quite amazed at the change (as I was when I saw hers with the wall yesterday) and then she went and had a chat with Mr T.  She's lovely and he responds so much to kindness, and they will get on well, especially as she knows Manchester and the places that he lived.

This could get very interesting as she is also in the U3A YOYO group and he met her at the bus stop a few weeks back.  A couple of Sunday's ago he went to an outing and was picked up and then rather surreal for him they picked my neighbour up and he didn't know.  It was odd when he knocked on our door to ask which was her house!  She's a very lovely lady, interested in wildlife and art so we had a great chat today.  Dad enjoys her company and it is good for him to have a friend that gets to know him as he is now.  I believe if he is happy and has things to enjoy and look forward to it will keep him well for longer.  It will also be interesting to see how she may influence Dad's behaviour towards Mr T!
