The ferry - back and forth

We are here on the bank of a mighty river
The other bank is yonder, and this one here is here
The shore where we are not we call the other side
It will be this side as soon as we get there
And this is called the other side, so remember that well
Because this is important if you have to cross the road
That could well be because there is a lot of traffic here
And that's why I keep sailing back and forth and vice versa
