Sailing Plans

I’d whistled up a couple of chums to go for a sail but opening the curtains, all was flat calm. As the met office had forecast. The BBC still showed a fine breeze from the south west. I canned the outing and before I could rearrange the day the son got in touch to say he was laid up with covid. This necessitated a trip to deliver essentials. I’d have been quicker to swim there. How tradespeople manage in Edinburgh I have no idea.
Back to sand wood and slap woodskin about exterior woody bits of the boat which was most therapeutic. Though a bit warm. Twenty six degrees, said the thermometer down below. In the cabin, not in my trews.
