Female Keeled Skipper

While my husband went out on an early morning bike ride I popped over to Aylesbeare Common to visit the various ponds and look at the dragonflies and butterflies.  There were several different types of dragonflies around not in large numbers though.  I even managed to get a shot of one in flight but not a very good one.  It kept me busy for some time though.  This female keeled skipper was on vegetation on the side of a track with a male nearby.  I think she may even have some eggs at the end of her tail.

Its still very hot although more cloudy today.  I am waiting for the hairdresser to arrive and after this we will be meeting up with the camera club for a local walk and then a meal at a local pub.  A busy day.
