Day 2 Tour of the Lakes

Today's route was from Skiddaw House to Caldbeck and was a much easier day with fewer miles and less ascent.

The only significant climb was up to the Lingy Hut, a bothy near the summit of Great Lingy Hill and right on the Cumbria Way path. Then up to High Pike (photo) and down to Caldbeck where our B&B turned out to be a palatial house in large grounds. We ate at the pub, having arranged to meet a young woman we were chatting to in the hostel last night.

Extra: inside the Lingy hut

9.8 miles

Again I've no idea on today's ascent, but over the two days we've climbed 5,481 feet.
