Yet another very hot day...

Today is our busy day with Stella-Rose from very early, Violet to be collected from school and taken to and from Brownies.  It was as hot as predicted but fortunately there was cloud cover so Stella- Rose could safely be popped into the smaller paddling pool for a cooling splash around.  My main pic shows her with a poster effect which I fondly imagine might give her some sort of anonymity!
We also had to carry out the Measuring of the Sunflower before Brownies, to see of Violet' had grown the most from the seedling that we received some weeks ago.  Ours has grown so well we thought that we might have won but those who had planted theirs out in the ground no doubt did better.  Se extras for a shot of the grand measuring from soil level!
