Breakfast Time

This family of herring gulls is on a nearby rooftop.  They are somewhat behind their neighbours who have already fledged.

I spotted the chicks in silhouette from - you guessed it - my kitchen window.  By the time I had fetched my camera, they were joined by a parent and started begging for food.
