Grey Heron

It was a lazy day today. It's really hot already. Minstrel has been lazy too, apart from a breakfast time zoomies session. I spent most of the morning catching up on Blip comments.

Later this afternoon we went for a walk by the river in boiling temperatures in order to find a Blip. There were not many people around - too hot no doubt. There were lots of butterflies - meadow brown, comma, red admiral and the occasional common blue. Not many settled though, and when they did they kept their wings folded.

We saw this heron over the other side of the river. It was quite a distance away so not the clearest shot.

My deer fly bite from Monday is really stinging still!
