Rana temporaria

Two Common Frogs (Rana temporaria) take an evening rest on a stone in our miniature garden pond (the second frog can be seen in the background, at roughly the 11 o'clock position with respect to the one in clear focus on the centre of the rock).

Mrs Catspaw and I constructed the pond in the spring of 2020, as a 'lockdown' project, 'upcycling' the dark grey plastic base of the rabbit cage which originally housed young Jessica on her arrival in our Scottish home back in 2012.
