Gooseberries

First picking of the gooseberries, those that were trailing on the ground - there are plenty more.

This is 2kg for making gooseberry curd, a delicious way of preserving the fruit, I discovered last year. Next I think I'll make gooseberry chutney, then maybe jelly, possibly a pie, by which time we'll have made space in the freezer for the rest of the crop.
