Headed into work to deal with a very large wooden box containing some new demonstration/lab kit for the mechanical Engineers. Managed to persuade them to replace the 52 year old Mk1 version that we'd been patching up and nursing for far too long, with the current version... from the same supplier. It comes with a five year warranty, but when queried (with tongue firmly in cheek) the supplier wouldn't stretch that to fifty years.
