Walking Wombat

What you looking at!!

Mauzee and I had the most amazing walk this morning.  After a chilly, let’s say really freezing start to the morning we finally surfaced and walked around the entire circuit of the Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands in Leeton in the Riverina.  It was an absolute eye opener and we’re going to suggest to our photo group that it would be a great destination for an excursion at some stage.  Leeton is indeed a fascinating City.  The bird life was spectacular and very heartening to see.  We soon lost count of the number of species making their homes there.  I decided to post the one of the Kangaroos tonight.  they were very interested in us as we approached and didn’t even blink an eye as we walked by.  We then travelled on to Griffith another interesting town.  We will spend a short time here tomorrow but not before I’ve feasted on arguably the best Gelatos on the planet from Bertoldos which is located in the Main Street.  I have very fond memories of their Gelato’s from when I visited the town in 2014 :). A girls got to do what a girls got to do.
A highlight of our day was a visit to see an old friend from the Blue Mountains, Anne Elliot.  It was just wonderful to see Anne again and to meet her husband of two weeks, Richard.  They have an amazing property in Leeton and have incredible plans to develop it over the next few years.
