Cappadocia Carpets and kittens

As mentioned yesterday, it's impossible to choose only one photo a day when on holiday in this stunning and unique area of Turkey - but having been many times before, I've chosen photos that maybe aren't the usual 'holiday snaps' (although there are some of those too).

Today we went to the aptly named 'love valley' (extra) to walk a few km in partially cloudy but still warm weather, stopping at the 'end of trail' cafe (extra) for apple tea. Then we went to Göreme where we wandered the shops (successfully) for some tourist tat and were much amused in one place to discover two 8 week old kittens and their mum at the back of the shop - playing amongst the textiles having a grand ol' time (today's pic). The shopkeeper has set up kitty corner with everything they need, these lucky felines were both entertained by and entertaining in their unlikely surroundings.

After Göreme we went to another area of the national park where I took a few more photos (extra) before going back to the hotel for the evening.
