The Hottest Day Of The Year

The funeral service was amazing - heaving, tears and laughter and finishing with songs in the round which meant the whole thing ended up feeling like a party ......... it all just summed Katie up beautifully.
The only downside was that her twin didn't make it - he was stuck in London after the flights from Luton were cancelled due to melting runways and trains were cancelled - Just In Case!. But there was a recorded message from him and a Zoom link was put in place for him.

Afterwards we all headed off to Katie's favourite hotel (with a huge Redwood tree out the front) for drinks and food.

SWMBO and I then had a rather hot and sticky drive home.
I stopped near the Dalwhinnie distillery to shoot the build up of clouds.
I missed the receding hills due to rain falling.
It didn't last long and it didn't lower the temperature.

SWMBO has spent all day trying to get tickets to see The Boss in concert.
She started at 9am and eventually had confirmation at 8pm. The system just wasn't letting her use the card she wanted to.
But all's well that ends well.
