My right knee features in today's Extra to commemorate my first run in nearly seven weeks. It was hot again, today, so I left it until early evening before going out for a short run. You'll be pleased to know it was all right. Not perfect - I was aware of it - but I did three and a half miles without a twinge.

And after that, Dan, Abi, and I went for a curry. This was our reunion meal after their respective trips to Morocco and Magaluff. Here they are on the sofa when we got back home, thick as thieves, entertaining one another while I read my book and quietly enjoyed how well they get on.
