Darter

Female common darter - perching.

Always worth a quick wander round RSPB Old Moor up in Yorkshire. There wasn't a lot around and yet again the walk to the reedbeds was closed. There are ponds but not as many insects as one would expect though there were a few common darters perching around. No sign of the recently sighted spoonbill there today.
