Gatekeepers

Thanks to Annejohn for telling me that they are also called Hedge Browns. As it was cooler and cloudier today, the large showy butterflies are all hiding somewhere.  However, the Gatekeepers were out in force, flitting above our long grass, and keen to ensure that the species does not die out.
