Sheriff Centre

A gig! In North London! It took no time at all to get there on the Thameslink and we were there early enough to visit Bohemia House for a potato nosh up (potato salad, potato pancakes, chips). It seems a super place. On our way there, I spotted a member of the band we were going to see tacking promotional postcards on the venue.

The Sheriff Centre is a community enterprise based in a church. It seems a fine use of space – a place of worship, but also a food bank, a cafe, a Post Office, and a soft play centre. As the support guy Jack Harris quipped, it's good to see my awkward requests have been taken seriously – thanks for the slide, guys, and no, no one else can have a shot. We were in for a real treat with the music from Jack and The Fritillaries. A very fine night of banter and song.
