Splash dash

I’ve never felt heat like it; the classroom was 30’c by mid-morning but felt cool in comparison with outside. We only let the children out for a quick cool down with the hosepipe sprinkler before closing all the windows, doors and blinds and sheltering inside for the rest of the day. We provided a foot spa (cool trays of water), ice pops, we played pass the ice block and relaxed with underwater images on the big screen whilst painting watery scenes.
With fires burning across the country and roads melting, I felt fortunate to get home to a relatively cool house.
