Cafes on the square

Not many people will go to church today, neither at the Catholic Church or the Anglican church but many people will be on the square enjoying coffee and chat. There are quite a few tourists at the moment which is good for local trade but not so good for Covid which is very prevalent as it is in the UK. We were able to ring all 10 bells this morning as we had a full complement plus a visitor. Yesterday’s forest fire is now extinguished although firefighters are still on the site making sure it does not start up again. I heard the Canadairs flying overhead until late into the evening last night. It has been a hot day so I have spent the afternoon reading in the coolest room in the house. I will be playing tennis this evening but even at 7 pm it is still set to be over 30°.
