Inferno

As I write this, 150 firefighters have been engaged to control this forest fire above a neighbouring village. I can see the flames from our road. Already 30 hectares of vegetation have been destroyed. A helicopter is being deployed to douse the flames and a request has been made for Canadair aeroplanes to become involved.
