Just Wow!

It was the last concert of the Bellingham Festival of Music. The orchestra was finished tuning and warming up. The choir was standing in front of their seats. Soon they would join forces to perform the best performance I’ve ever heard of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. I took no photo’s during the performance because the board chairwoman asked us not to. And I was so absorbed by the music I didn’t even want to. What a fantastic concert. It was a fitting way to bid Michael Palmer farewell on his way to new pursuits. Next year we are auditioning new conductors. This year was Michael’s and what a season it was.
