Crazy Ladies

There were 14 of us today. The number varies. We gather Monday mornings at Avenue Bread for coffee and breakfast. You may notice a few of the crazy ladies are men. Those are the honorary crazy ladies. Everyone here knows what it is like to care for a loved one with dementia. Some of us have known each other for ten years. Some are newer. We started in a wonderful support group as we navigated the path of care. Even though it could be years since our loved ones passed, in my case over six years ago, we remain close friends and feel like family. I am so lucky to have these folks in my life!
