Roding woodcock ...

A sociable morning with a visit from a friend and her little dog, Timmy. Unfortunately after they left I discovered Timmy had chosen to cock his leg on the wall and had weed all over the cream carpet .. hmmm ... thanks, Timmy.

Had another bash with the new camera with limited success, but I'll get there eventually!

In the evening I went out with the bird group to see 'roding woodcock'. This involved wandering through a wood at dusk, to heathland .. and waiting .. eventually a couple of shady silhouettes flew over - woodcock! But there wasn't much roding going on, they seemed to be en route to somewhere else.

It was fun though - if a bit wet with occasional hailstorms!

My sister came over from North Yorkshire so I could go this evening - poor thing - she came by coach, and there was a terrible accident on the M62 which delayed her by several hours .. then when she finally got to Hull, there was another fatal accident resulting in even more detours!
