A Wash & Brush-up

We had M's old school friend D to stay yesterday.  Following dinner at the Pheasant Hotel we returned home to watch the Women's Euro Semi-final (England-4, Sweden-0, well done the Lionesses!) which we'd recorded while we were out.  So it was rather a late night, unusual for us.  We felt rather jaded today so we've had a quiet day.

I was sorting out the laundry basket when I spotted this pigeon having a siesta on the edge of our bird bath (see extra).  It rather reminded me of our quiet, lazy day.  Once it had woken up it spent some time preening before heading off to do what ever else pigeons do all day.
