Belladrum- day 1

A delicious breakfast cooked for us by my brother’s partner Angela set us up nicely for the day. Drove in convoy behind her to the site entrance as she was dropping off her teenage son and a couple of friends. My niece Joanne was already on site and arranged to meet their car at the car park to make sure the slightly underagers got in ok without a responsible adult. Ethan is a sensible young man so it should all be fine.

We found the entrance to the glamping area easily enough and it only took a couple of trips to the car to take in everything we thought we’d need for the weekend. The bell tent we’re staying in is bigger than I expected and the bed feels comfy. As long as we weren’t going to be sleeping in the floor, I’m happy.

We sat in the sunshine for a while and then headed into the arena for a bite to eat for Mr PHL and to furnish ourselves with our first drink of the festival. We met up with our friends just before 5 and saw various bands including Admiral Fallow, Torridon, Connor Fyfe, Schiehallion, Passenger (who was excellent) and caught a bit of Emile Sabre’s set. We called it a night just before 10.30 as the temperature was dropping and we were both still tired.

The tent was a little damp due to the change in temperatures but I’m hoping for a good sleep!

Backblipped Saturday 30th for Thursday 28th
