Sea pigeons?

We were surprised to see a flock of 20 or more feral pigeons foraging amongst the seaweed on the shore this evening just below the high tide line. I looked them up on the RSPB website and it does list 'marine and intertidal' as a natural habitat, along with farmland and towns and cities. Their UK conservation status is green, unlike yesterday's house sparrows which are red.
