Sgwarnog: In the Field

Peace

The steps in front of Bradford City Hall (extra) have been adorned with colour, including the word Peace in many languages. A beautiful piece of work.

Across the square I popped into Impressions Gallery to see the Invisible Britain: This Separated Isle photography exhibit which has just opened. It’s on until 15 October and worth a visit.

And then up to Valley Parade for the start of the football league season. More than 19,000 were in to see Bradford City host Doncaster Rovers, and unfortunately witness a horrific double leg break for City’s Emmanuel Osadebe six minutes into his debut. An incident like that was always going to cast a shadow over the rest of the game and goalless it remained. Best wishes to Emmanuel for his long recovery.
