Silver-washed Fritillary

This morning I visited Howe Ridding Wood, a good location for butterflies.  I was able to see Speckled Wood, Ringlet, Small Skipper, Peacock, Meadow Brown, Common Blue, Gatekeeper and both Dark Green and Silver-washed Fritillaries.  It was hot and very humid in the woodland after all the rain yesterday.

Lottie and her Mum and Dad went home last night.  It was great to have them to stay for a couple of days.
