A Day Worth Recording

Horseyholiday - Jack, Jill and a Colophon

Day 2 and moving on from West Dean to Brighton, initially meeting up with S&N for a seaside walk in Brighton (actually Rottingdean - rather less populated) where we also came across the mill in the main blip.

Apparently this particular mill is the one that is the Heinemann colophon (which, disappointingly is not some colon-shaped musical instrument but a publisher's note/mark at the end of a publication - essentially a logo).  Having looked that artwork up, it's not, perhaps, the most precise rendition.

Thence on to the holiday home and meeting up with M,C & J, some sorting out of stuff and out for a walk along the downs to the "Jack & Jill" windmills (extras - Jill is the white one, we gather).

Back home for lasagne and games.

Horsiness tomorrow.
