Memories

Arrived at church this morning to learn that Gordon, our minister, has tested positive for covid.  However, he seems to be fine, and his sermon was relayed to us by Lewis, our tech expert so that we could watch it on the screens.  Such great technology.

After the service, we had coffee or tea in the Sawers Room, and were able to see the photo exhibition which has been set up of all our photos of the pandemic.  Lots of special birthdays and anniversaries, a few weddings, some christenings, some funerals, all sorts of things happened during the pandemic and Karen tried to show it with a mixture of photos we had sent to her.

Did some ironing and cleaning of bathrooms in the afternoon, and C came for dinner.  We had roasted chicken, some of our own potatoes, and some broccoli, and then cheesecake, it was a good meal.

We were glued to the TV to see the final of the European Championship between England and Germany.  A great game, and the teams were fairly evenly matched, we thought, but we were delighted that England won the day.  Well done to the girls, and lots of little girls will be getting football boots in the days to come, I think.
